Urban Style Watch: Great China Wall Ink
As the alternate line of The Great China Wall, Great China Wall ink has a serious urban flair combining tattoo images with graffiti or ‘Cholo’ graphics to represent the vibe of LA street art. Designs include handmade pieces with graffiti logos, the Virgin Mary, flowers, spray cans, and Chinese characters. The hoodies and pants are “tinted”. This is where each piece is soaked and rinsed through a dye process.
To follow up, the garments are given the vintage or distressed look as a special agent discolors the elbows or pockets. Finally, there is a screen print with a water-based, multi-colored ink and airbrushing. The clothing also includes an embroidered logo. The good news is that the line is a lot less expensive than The Great China Wall which averages between $1000- 1600 for a hoody. The brand definitely values the process that goes into the clothing and offers a unique style which is definitely urban chic.
